WALKS IN TRAMORE There are many nice walks around Tramore one of the nicest walks i would recommend is along the beach around the Rabbit Burrows and up a long the back strand, the beach leads into the back strand which is also a bird sanctuary where rare birds and fllowers are present. This walk is suitable for old and young alike and great fun can be had by children rolling down the dunes. This is a must for anyone visting Tramore because as you stroll along you can take yourself away and enjoy the gifts of nature which are to be found on all sides.

Another
nice walk would be starting out on the Doneraile Walk off Church Road,
along over to the Cliff Road which continues on a scenic coastal
walk to Newtown Cove. This walk offers spectular views of Tramore
Bay as you are approximately 100ft above sea level.
On reaching nearer Newtown cove there is a good views of the Guillameen Cove a favourite spot for deepwater swimming. Newtown cove beside the Guillamen is safer for swimming and a nice spot to rest or picnic. |

Another
walk i could suggest is a tour of the local lakes outside of Tramore around by
Ballyscanlan and Carraigavantry Lakes and woods.
Ballyscanlan is located about 4 miles outside of Tramore with a picnic site and forest Ballyscanlan lake lies north of the woods from here if feeling engergtic one could walk to Carraigavantry lake which overlooks Fenor bog. |
